By definition, synergy is the interaction of two or more things to produce a combined effect greater than the sum of their separate parts.

The idea is that you take two parts that either complement each other in a certain strength or cover one of the parts’ weaknesses.

ima give an example below

The Merkava MK4 turret is on the bottom of the Meta list, but it can be good when paired with a certain hull. MK4 Merkava’s strengths are its strong armor, APS, and good CE protection without the use of ERA; its weakness is its turret ring and its poor ammo capacity. The hull that Merkava MK4 has good synergy with is the CATTB hull.

While Cattb hull is pretty good in top tier because of its armor, what we need from it is Cattb’s suspension aim and its large blowout ammo reserves.(If you don’t have Cattb, K2 or Contender 2m are good substitutes). The suspension aim gives Merkava Mk4 Flexability in hilly maps like Sinai, Arctic Base, or any of the point alpha/beta maps. While in a hull-down situation, the Merkavas week turret ring isn’t a problem because it’s protected by the terrain. Since the hull and turret ring are hull down, enemies only see an impenetrable bunker.

a simpler use of synergy is the type 96a’s weak mantlet, when paierd with guns with gunshields its quite strong.

you have to know the strength and weaknesses of parts to find combos that synergies well together, you have to keep inmind soft stats, like crew placement, how the ammo is divivded up, reverse loading, or even how deep turrets settlel on the turret ring
